The Anti-Waste Pact

The portal's partner restaurants join the Anti-Waste Pact and follow shared guidelines to reduce food waste, reuse ingredients and manage surplus. They can be recognised by the "Friend of the M.E.D. Living Lab — Zero Waste Restaurant" mark.

By joining the pact, the restaurants of Pioppi and the territory — such as the Pizzeria Il Galeone and the other partners — commit to measuring and reducing waste, favouring zero-kilometre suppliers and offering customers eco-friendly solutions for surplus. An ecosystem that links restaurateurs, producers and guests around the Mediterranean Diet.

III
Eco-friendly doggy bag

Compostable or reusable containers offered to customers to take leftovers home, without embarrassment and without waste.

IV
Measure & improve

Periodic monitoring of waste and sharing of best practices with the network of partner restaurants of the portal.
